Description:

The Aortic Complications Symposium provides an open forum for faculty and attendees to discuss aortic complications and how the GORE® EXCLUDER® AAA Endoprosthesis and Conformable GORE® TAG® Thoracic Endoprosthesis have been effectively used to fix or avoid these problems.


Participants

Desire to learn more about the use of the GORE® EXCLUDER® Device or Conformable GORE® TAG® Device.

PREREQUISITES:
• Completed the GORE® EXCLUDER® Device and Conformable GORE® TAG® Device training requirements
• Performed 25 or more abdominal or 10 or more thoracic aortic endovascular repair procedures
• Prepare and present a 10–15 minute EVAR or TEVAR case presentation for interactive discussion between faculty and course attendees

Learning Outcomes

• Exchange case studies with faculty and peers
• Discuss practice, prevention and management of common EVAR and TEVAR complications, including:

    PROCEDURAL COMPLICATIONS
    - Graft malpositioning
    - Cannulation issues
    - Endoleaks — Type I
    - Aortic rupture
    - Iliac complications
    - Access
    - LSA coverage
    - Challenging anatomy
    - Imaging considerations

    SECONDARY INTERVENTIONS
    - Graft migration
    - Endoleaks — Type II and III
    - Limb occlusions
    - Adjunctive procedures
